If you have insurance and are seeking drug or alcohol treatment, you are in luck as KLEAN accepts most out-of-network insurance coverage for rehab . There are many options for you if you know what you are working with.
Finding out your true coverage in the event you want to seek treatment for a drug and alcohol problemcan be a problem in itself if you do not know exactly what to ask and what to look for. If you work with a treatment center during this process, their admissions counselors will help contact your insurance company and will go over your policy to make sure you are getting the most out of your benefits. Our admissions counselors work with all kinds of insurance companies, so they are very versed in what to say, and where to find out what coverage you have. It can be hard to navigate that by yourself.
If you are employed and using employer-sponsored healthcare coverage, you may be nervous about your employer finding out when you exercise your benefits. It is actually against the law for us to report to your employer that you are seeking drug and alcohol treatment. This is a violation of your privacy, and under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 2003, we cannot disclose anything to anyone without your express, written and signed permission. We are however, permitted to talk with your insurance company on your behalf, because you give us permission during your stay. We actually need to do this, because you typically have to get recertified for treatment every few days. We must make sure to have thorough notes when we talk with your insurance company, so we can ensure you get the treatment you need.
You can call your insurance company yourself and find out what is covered, but beware that you must know what to say and how to say it. Many employer-sponsored plans do offer drug and alcohol treatment, and most of the big insurance companies do as well. If your insurance is through a smaller company, do not worry. There are many smaller insurance companies that do offer drug and alcohol treatment. We have worked with a variety of insurance companies. Since we already mentioned recertification, we can mention it again here, just to remind you that is part of this process, no matter what your insurance is.
At KLEAN, we take care of the insurance aspect for you. We make sure you have coverage, and find out what it is, then we assist you with the recertification process while you are in treatment. Our goal is to make this as easy for you as possible.
