Darryl Olivier has been working in the field of chemical dependence since 1996, with an emphasis on counseling, program management, residential program management and new program development. Mr. Olivier has an extensive background in licensing and certification for residential treatment services and intensive outpatient clinics, working directly with county, local, and state licensing boards to ensure the existence of all certifications. He has licensed and certified more than 80 drug treatment programs in the State of California since 1999.
Mr. Olivier started his first program in 1998 under the auspices of the Department of Probation-Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). Since that time, he has launched a variety of Los Angeles area programs, with funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, California’s ATR program, the California Access to Recovery Effort (CARE), Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) programs, and the Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act (also known as Proposition 36).
In addition, Mr. Olivier has managed outpatient, intensive outpatient, transitional housing and residential treatment programs for men, women, and young adults. He has also chaired numerous committees supporting the growth of the Drug and Alcohol Treatment industries, including the Long Beach/South Bay Coalition on Alcohol and Substance Abuse (Vice Chairperson), the Long Beach/South Bay Sober Living Association (Chairperson), and the Client Advisory Committee in Long Beach (Chairperson).
